I've been collecting design sketches from various sources for awhile now and finally put them in a place where it will be easy to keep and look at them.
I've taken a 3-ring binder and dedicated it. I printed out the sketches and trimmed them. Then I mounted them on white computer paper using both sides of the paper, adhering them with mono adhesive. Then I put them in page protectors and into the 3-ring binder. It'll be nice to have these all in one place rather than scattered here and there in my stamping area!
I should have been doing something liket that. My cards never look decent when I have to come up with the design. My favorite cards, bar two maybe, were someone else's sketch, or at least a spin off of someone else's. Nuttnhoney has been a huge source for my sketch ideas for cards that turned out well. Good job on the binder!
ReplyDeleteWhat? No card? Darn it! lol! Great tip though!!
ReplyDeleteTeresa, I find that once I decide on a sketch design (lately, most often someone else's) it takes a lot of the frustration out of creating. We need some parameters, methinks, even in the creative realm.
ReplyDeletelol Sorry, Kelley! Once I get over hormone heck I'll hopefully want to stamp something. :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome idea Kim! I usually keep files like this on my computer, but like this idea a lot for when I'm going to stamp somewhere other than home!
ReplyDeleteMany Blessings,
