Taking the plunge

My birthday came this past week and my family was very generous to me! So I am going to use some of the money to buy Copics. I'd like to spend around a hundred dollars, which sounds like a lot. But when buying Copics it will disappear fast, I'm sure. I am going to buy them from Carpe Deim because they have a killer low price and free shipping right now on Copic orders (only in the lower 48 and manually adjusted after ordering).

Now the hard part. Which ones to choose? Those of you who use Copics, do you find you tend toward the lighter colors or do you mix them up? Please share your wisdom with me. What should a newbie do to get started?

  1. Hi Kim! Hope you had a wonderful birthday! Have fun buying your first copics! When I started I used a list from somewhere on
SCS that had matched to SU! colors. That helped me decide which way to go and now I can't stop buying!!!! They color so beautifully but they do take lots of practice so don't get discouraged if it doesn't look right at first. I am still struggling with getting it right! One day I hope to take the certification class but so far not in my area. Have fun!!!
